In the spirit of full disclosure, here is where WE stand in terms of volunteers. (I say WE because this is the Resurrection School Carnival, our school!) 30 Venues that need to be covered in 4 shifts. Current Status: 1st Shift 9 volunteers need 30 2nd Shift 6 volunteers need 30 3rd Shift 7 volunteers need 30 4th Shift 9 volunteers need 30 As you can see, we have 31 volunteers for 120 slots. Given that some fathers can work 2 or 3 shifts, we still need about 65 -70 fathers more!!! Please understand that if we do not get the volunteers, we can't run the venues, no venues...no Carnival!!!! This is where we make the money to pay for things like the Resurrection Sports Programs, the New Locker Room, Backboards for the gym, etc. Please try to find some time to volunteer. We have a chance to make school better for our kids but only if we act NOW! We have a simple plan for success at the Carnival this Saturday. Here's the plan. 1. Have people donate prizes for the Carnival Raffle. Everyone came through with incredible generosity. Thanks we're done! 2. Have Father's volunteer to sell raffle tickets at work. Tickets are $10 with our great prizes they're easy to sell. So far 40 out of 150 fathers have volunteered. 3. Have Father's volunteer to work at Carnival. We need 100 volunteers, we have 50. 4. Have Carnival Rides and Games All set, thanks to PM Amusements and Mark Damiano. 5. Have lunch and snacks. Billy Powell is giving us Grills, Hot Dogs and Hamburgers. Kevin McElroy is running the kitchen. So here's what you need to do. 1. Volunteer to sell raffle tickets. How many and where do you want them sent? 2. Volunteer to work at least one shift at the carnival. Shifts are 9-10:30, 10:30-12, 12-1:30, 1:30-3:00 You can do both of these by responding to this email! Resurrection Fathers Club Carnival Sat. Oct. 14, 10:00 to 2:00 We'll have our raffle drawing during the last hour so please make sure you have your tickets and cash turned in by then. If you are donating a prize and you can bring it, please do. If you have something that you forgot to donate please bring it, it adds to the festivity. We need to have two volunteers to make large signs that they attach to the back of their cars. The cars need to be parked near the entrances on Midland and Milton so that we can grab some street traffic. A special thanks to Mark Damiano and PM Amusements for bringing all the games and rides again this year.
