From jsullivan at ffn.com Tue Apr 13 14:50:37 2010 From: jsullivan at ffn.com (James Sullivan) Date: Tue, 13 Apr 2010 14:50:37 -0400 Subject: IMPORTANT - RFC Carnival Raffle Message-ID: <901C5B46F6ED6B4E89CEBB4FDFB6B1F661FA37C3FC@Site4mbx1.pmgi.local> Dear Resurrection Fathers' Club Members: Welcome back all and hope everyone had a great Easter break! Now that we are all back from break it is time to get down to business. The Carnival is now less than 2 weeks away and Monsignor Boyle has promised us great weather. Now with the Monsignor doing his part (with a little help from the good Lord too of course), it is time for our membership to help make this a financial success in helping us to sell raffle tickets. This is a crucial part of our success and we really need everyone pitching in. We have two ways in which people can get into all the goodies: 1. We have a beautiful brand new blue KYMCO 50CC Agility Scooter that has been donated and is being raffled as a stand-alone prize...drawing the day of the Carnival. Obviously tickets sales can start immediately. Tickets will be $20.00 per ticket (or 6 for $100) with a maximum of only 250 tickets being sold. We will also have the Scooter on display and selling tickets outside of all masses this coming weekend and hopefully in town afterwards in addition to your individual efforts. 2. We have our traditional pool of fabulous other prizes including rounds of golf at various areas clubs, game tickets to our NY area teams, wine, sailing and other boating activities for the family, a beautiful 52" HD LCD TV and various other fabulous items (see list of items attached and below as it sits now with a few more items still pending confirmation). Tickets are $10.00 each (12 for $100, or with $150 purchase we will throw in a free bonus Scooter chance too) What a deal...would make a great Mothers' Day present fellas! We will need everyone doing their part to sell these tickets. Sell them to your colleagues at work, your neighbors, a gift for your wife and kids, whoever wants to play, get the kids involved...it's all good! Please get in touch with me and I will deliver to your office, house, Grand Central , send home with your kids or wherever you want, tickets for you and your kids to sell. Time is of the essence so please email me at sullivan5 at optonline.net or call me on my cell at (914) 645-5110 and tell me how many and where I can get them to you. Given our goal of 250 Scooter tickets ($5,000 total) and 750 raffle tickets ($7,500), please set a personal goal of 5-10 Scooter tickets and 15-25 traditional raffle tickets and we can make this happen! That's very realistic for this capable membership and as the saying goes...many hands make for light work. So please please please, everyone help out. This is for the benefit of all of your kids! I would also like to thank in advance those who have been so generous in donating the great pool of raffle prizes. Many many thanks! If anyone still wishes to contribute, please feel free as it only will improve the marketability of our tickets and benefit the event. Again, please give me a call. Below is a summary of the volunteer shifts for the Carnival. I based these shifts on the email responses received so far. If anything looks wrong from what you signed up for, or you have a change in your schedule, please let me know. A couple of things to note: 1) We have moved the start time of Shift 1 (Set up) from 9:00 am to 9:30 am 2) It has always been a tradition to bring your kid(s) to help you on your shift, so bring 'em! 3) When you arrive, look for me for a job assignment or stop by the ticket table and they will point you in my direction; 4) Please be on time for your shift!!! Lastly, and most important, please note that the third shift is a bit light. Between the food and the rides we expect to be very busy at this time, so WE STILL NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS HERE!! Once again, thank you for volunteering. This event would not happen without your help! My cell # is 914-610-0528 and email iskeith.shultis at gmail.com . We are the carnival. We can work side-by-side with our kids. Sure we are all busy, but we all can help. Reach out to Keith for a full shift, double shift, half shift. Something. My Daisy is begging me to work my shift with her. Have you asked your children? No? Why not? Okay, the Carnival is in the Spring. It is on the new field. It has a new team running it. They promised no one could dunk me when sit at the dunk tank. Do you remember a dunk tank in the past? This is going to be great. It is going to be great because of you. Because of your work. See you Saturday. Tom On Apr 22, 2010, at 10:34 AM, Keith Shultis wrote: > Gentlemen, > The finish line is in sight! Below is a summary of the volunteer > shifts for the Carnival.
