Now in the Spring. Now a new look! See below Message-ID: <47B0B53D-0436-4237-B70F-DA6E5A8F3E72@TheSteinthals.com> As you know the upcoming Annual Father?s Club Carnival is an important event for the RFC in its mission to funding the many sports and extracurricular activities that our kids enjoy at Resurrection. This year the Carnival is being organized by the Fathers of Highland Park Place (FofHPP) including Glenn Lombino, James Sullivan, Keith Shultis, Jack Eif, Carmine Petruzello and Scott Vincent. We have been busy meeting during these winter months to ensure all bases are covered and now is the time to begin communications with all of you so that we may solicit your help, donations and presence. This year the Carnival will be held on Saturday April 24th and for the first time we will be allowed to utilize the new field for an assortment of field games, competitions and overall good times for parents and our children as well. You will also find previous staples such as the climbing wall, the bouncing castle, the train ride and all the other carnival events you have grown accustomed too. This year we will also have live music and a karaoke contest! The financial success of the Carnival is largely driven by the raffle and those of you who have been so generous over the years in donating the many prizes which drive our ticket sales. Given its importance, we would like to ask if our members can again be a part of its success and contribute to the list of fabulous prizes. The items that we would ask if you can donate have fallen primarily into four categories and include: ? Rounds of golf at the many beautiful clubs around the county - Westchester, Apawamis, Winged Foot, Sleepy Hollow, and any others with which you all may be affiliated. ? Sports tickets - Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Rangers, Knicks , etc. ? Cases of Wine ? Dinners at our local restaurants or clubs Additionally, any other items that you feel would be of interest would be welcomed from books, electronics (ipods, tv?s,etc), shows, movie tickets or other such activities. James Sullivan is heading our Raffle and Auction committee and has been in touch with a few people so far and is happy to report that we have been seeded with two rounds of golf at Westchester and at Apawamis, a selection of wine, a sunset cocktail cruise from American Yacht Club and a dinner at Ruby?s. This is a great start but we desperately need more to ensure its success. We would like to organize all of these items within the next two weeks so we have enough time and an attractive pool to turn our attention to tickets sales. Please contact James Sullivan (914) 645-5110 (cell) or respond via email to jsullivan at marcbell.com with any and all help that you can lend/support! We are also in need of volunteers to staff this event and to help the FofHPP?. Sign up Now to Volunteer If you?re interested please respond via email to glenn.lombino at digitaltoprint.com who is leading this overall event, I will then assign you to rides, events and food services. The Carnival is scheduled to run from 10am until 4pm rain or shine, so any time that you can commit, we will accept!
