Our agenda: * Decide on what events we should run (Carnival this fall? Carnival next spring? Steak dinner this fall? Steak dinner during March Madness? Message-ID: <47A76AA5-7A06-448C-A97E-E2052A55B521@TheSteinthals.com> Guys - we had a very successful Monday night meeting at the Roadhouse. Thanks for all ~30 of you who could come and the many of you who sent notes to us who could not come, but who shared your ideas. Here's the plan. We are going to run 4 events: 1 - NEW - Father / Son Event - likely Nov 4th 2 - MAYBE ENHANCED - Father / Daughter Dance - March 2rd (run with help of our wives) 3 - Beefsteak Dinner - March 16th, 23rd, or 24th 4 - Carnival - DATE TBD between 4/28 - 6/2 The new Father / Son Event will be a dinner - game room night at the school. There is a committee of guys who are pulling this together include (see below). If you want to join this group, please let us know. We don't have a ton of time to pull this together, but we have some great momentum and ideas. For those on this group, watch for a meeting soon to work out the specifics. The idea re: enhancing the Father / Daughter Dance is to include a dinner with the dance. We need 5 guys who want to run with trying to figure this part of this out. Anyone interested? Our wives actually run the rest of this event on our behalf, so we don't have to worry about that. The committee running the Beefsteak is below. We timed this event to be part of March Madness, and have some ideas of tying the tournament together with the dinner. If you want to be part of this group, let us know, and we let you know when we are getting together to organize this. The committee running the Carnival include is below. We have ample time to run a great event, but could always use a few more hands. If you want to be part of this group, let us know, and we let you know when we are getting together to organize this. If we assigned you to the wrong committee or did not assign you properly, please let us know and we'll fix that. For each committee, Phil and I will work with the committee members to organize and run the event. Part of the organizing of each event will be setting a fund-raising target for the event and plan on how the committee will achieve that target. Some guys were interested in organizing smaller events (e.g., a Paddle Tournament, Golf Outing, Paintball, Go-Karting). If you have the interest in organizing an event for a smaller group at the school, we are happy to help. Let us know. We are looking forward to a great year!
